From 2025 onwards, our hotel will be redesigned, by converting from classic hotel rooms to spacious apartments. During your holidays in South Tyrol we want to offer our guests even more space, privacy and a cozy, homely atmosphere. The new flats are flooded with light, furnished in a modern style and designed to make you feel at home. With large, open-plan living areas and private terraces, the holiday flats invite you to relax, while offering the comfort you have come to expect from us.

Table tennis, table football or tennis all on your doorstep

Our own clay tennis court, fitness room, table tennis and table football offer you a sporty alternative to hiking.

You can easily hire mountain bikes and e-bikes in the center of Dorf Tirol. The cycle path to St. Leonhard in Passeier or to Merano (approx. 2 km) starts directly below our house and continues into the Vinschgau Valley or towards Bolzano through the Adige Valley.

There are 3 golf courses in the immediate vicinity as well as opportunities for paragliding, tandem flights, rafting and horse riding.

Sustainability has been in our DNA for over 20 years. In 2000, we installed our first system of solar panels, which was later replaced by a photovoltaic system and has been expanded and extended ever since. Our environmentally friendly adjoining house was built using local craftsmen and materials. It stores more CO₂ than was released during its construction, and the energy-efficient heating and ventilation technology offers a pleasant climate without environmental pollution. With over 110 kWh of electricity production, we supply our apartments, EV and E-Bike charging stations as well as our outdoor pool - all locally and in a resource-saving way!

After a tiring day of hiking, Merano and Environs is a wonderful place to immerse yourself in the regional culture. Merano offers a wide range of museums and castles that are well worth a visit. The most famous sights include the impressive gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, the historic Tyrol Castle and the historical center of Merano with the Kurhaus or the Museum of archeology that hosts the famous Iceman Ötzi

Hikes

Hiking in South Tyrol is as essential as an apple in our strudel or Speck with a traditional “Marende”. During your hiking holiday in Dorf Tirol and the surrounding area, you can discover the wide range of activities on offer. Whether a high alpine hike to the Spronser Lakes in the Texel Group, the Rosengarten in the Dolomites or a leisurely family hike along the Waalwege or the bathing lakes, such as the Lake di Caldaro and Lake di Monticolo, every hiking enthusiast will find their personal highlight in the mountains here.
